Partner Schools Program
The Partner Schools Program is one which builds powerful collaboration between city and regional schools. Initiated by Principals from Narraweena, Lindfield East and Buronga Public schools and Killara High School, these partnerships developed in strength and scope as a result of this project.
The connections established through the project allowed genuine and meaningful partnerships to be developed rather than those that often are ‘tokenistic’. Our Alliance schools are focusing their connections on the core areas of school leadership and on enhancing teaching and learning experiences for staff and students.
New partnerships were established between Beaumont Road Public School and Gol Gol Public School, Hunters Hill Public School and Wentworth Public School.
The leaders of these partner schools are working collectively to plan ongoing learning experiences for students and staff. This includes a student and teacher exchange program and school visits.
The school leadership team made the Sunraysia Daily in their inaugural planning visit to the regional centre.
In addition, the leaders from these partner schools meet regularly via video conference and use a Tuning Protocol process to actively support each other in their leadership roles in their school.
The partnerships that have resulted from our Alliance (so far) include:
- The North Shore Secondary Schools Partnership (NS5) is an innovative partnership between the five secondary schools in the North Shore area. The partnership includes Turramurra, Ku-ring-gai, St Ives, Chatswood and Killara High Schools working together for the benefit of students staff and the collective communities of the five schools.
- The Killara Schools Partnership (KSP) consists of Killara High School, Beaumont Road Public School, Gordon East Public School, Killara Public School, Lindfield Public School, Lindfield East Public School and Roseville Public School.
